Edgar Mitchell, an American test-pilot and astronaut (from the Apollo 14 mission), and the 6th man to walk on the moon was doing a radio interview on Kerrang radio when the subject of extraterrestrial life came about.
The youtube video below is the part of the interview where they start talking about the subject. While most of the UFO community won't be surprised by the things said, the fact that this was on a popular English FM radio station will undoubtedly have an impact on the public.
An official spokesperson from NASA had the following to say regarding Edgar Mitchell's sayings "NASA does not track UFO's. NASA is not involved in any sort of cover up about alien life on this planet or anywhere else." "Dr Mitchell is a great American but we do not share his opinion on this issue."
